200 Series alternators are direct replacements to OEM alternators and our smaller / lower output race alternators.
Some 200 Series alternators can be rewound and uprated to almost double their outputs. Suffix '-HO' is added to the part number. This increase in output is yielded at higher rpm therefore 'HO' 200 Series units often need 2-3 times more speed for output and cooling. They are considerably less efficient than a standard unit at low rpm.
